The Best Sandals
Summer is coming to a close and I am holding onto the warm weather for as long as I can. I am a perpetually cold person, and honestly pretty lazy. From a sundress and sandals to athletic shorts and an oversized tee shirt, I love the simplicity of summer outfits. This summer I decided to hop on some new trends and add some new footwear to my closet. Here are (in my opinion) the best sandals you can buy:
The first few times I saw people wearing these I was not a huge fan. They looked like house slippers and were a bit bulky for my liking. Then something switched, I saw a girl wearing them on my Instagram explore page and she styled them so well it made me want a pair.
These are hands down the comfiest pair of shoes I own and they are surprisingly easy to dress up or down. I have worn them with tee shirt dresses, denim shorts and my go-to biker shorts and oversized tee combo.
I found these shoes on Amazon, and they come in seven colors.
My first pair of Birks were gifted to me by my sister after my senior year of high school, so it's been awhile since I've been wearing them. Ever since she bought me my first pair, I've bought new ones to match different outfits and add to my collection.
I love that Birkenstocks form to your feet and that they are extremely versatile. Almost everybody I know has a pair, and I can see myself wearing these for years to come. Fun fact: I walked multiple miles from a hotel in Chicago to Soldier Field in my Birks to see Beyonce live.
I buy all of my Birkenstocks directly from their website.
While most of my summer outfits are casual, I figured this summer I needed something a tad bit nicer to wear with dressy outfits. These clear scrappy sandals have joined me at brunch, local bars and even to a tattoo appointment.
I love that these sandals are simple, yet stunning and classy. They are extremely comfortable to wear and match almost any outfit due to their natural color. I found these sandals at my local Target, and they come in five different colors.
Doc Martens Sandals
These sandals were a little bit out of my comfort zone, but based off of how much I love my Doc Martens boots, I knew I had to try these out. I originally heard about these shoes from my sister who has the same pair in black and they seriously look good with everything she pairs them with.
To me, these shoes are an edgy take on the Steve Madden platform sandal that was insanely popular last year. I will definitely be wearing these as much as I can during what we have left of summer.
