Spring Playlist 2023

Spring is officially here, and that means it's time for another top round up of my five favorite songs for spring. Spring playlists are by far the hardest for me to curate, some days I'm still in a sad music winter mood and others I'm ready for summer. Because of my troubles with making a perfect spring playlist, this is the first time I am sharing one here, so bear with me. If my winter playlist and summer playlist had a baby, it would look like this.

Bedroom by Litany

I cannot explain why I love this song so much, but I do. Litany's voice just makes me so happy and the music is top tier. The song honestly gives more summer vibes, but it's a springtime song for me.

Loser by HUNNY

Sorry, the sad music does not stop when the weather gets nice. I'm trying my best. I love a slightly aggressive song and what woman doesn't wanna hear a man sing about how badly he feels about himself?

Bags by Clairo

If I had a list of songs I'd pay to listen to for the first time again (I should) this song would be on that list. I love a song with sad lyrics and happy(ish) music so this is a perfect fit.

Anti-Curse by boygenius

Okay, the entire album the record should be on this list and I'll never get over the fact that we finally have more boygenius in the world. While it's hard to pick a favorite, this might be mine from this album. It's exactly what I expected from them and just what my spring playlist needed.

Genesis by Grimes

Something about spring puts me in a huge Grimes mood. I love her all year round, but every spring I find myself obsessively listening to her. This song is honestly just such a vibe, even before I could decipher what she was saying I loved it.
